Quiggles is a male bobcat.

Species: Bobcat

Name: Quiggles

Status: The American Bobcat is in abundance both in the wild and in captivity.

Distribution: Bobcats range throughout North America, in a wide variety of habitats.

Size: Average weight is 15-17 pounds with the males being larger than the females.

Food: Bobcats eat up to 6 lbs. of meat a day each. Their diet consists of Beef, Pork, Chicken and Deer.

Habitat: The Bobcat primarily inhabits scrubby country and broken forests, but adapts to swamps, farmlands and arid lands, if they are rocky or bushy.

Tidbit: While the bobcat can make many of the sounds that a housecat can, the bobcat can also make a shrill scream and a guttering bark.

Lifespan: 12 years in the wild, 15-20 years in captivity. Quiggles was born in 2009.
